The engine sounds are ok, not great but reasonable. I'd would have rated it postively except the cab view is just as important as the exterior, and they missed the mark with this one.. very neat, i myself am a huge fan of the 2-8-4 berkshire, the sounds are good, the train looks good, and the fact that you can drive #765 without quitting the bgame and replaying the game is pretty cool. but the downfall of this mighty beast is the cab graphics, its just pixelated, not very good, but if your looking for a strong fast heavy hauler, look no more than the NKP S-2 Berkshire!. Ijust purchased this Loco and for me it only rolls down the track. I can only control the speed inside of the cab. None of the controls work and the valve ♥♥♥♥♥ wont close like the bigboy. It has a loud steam hissing sound that never leaves . you can haddly hear the train sounds for this noise. I can not find a way to fix it. It should have worked when sold or give a refund. Problem is after 2 hours there is no refund! I have the same problem with the Big boy. I have two new locos that are usless to me. they never worked from the time I purchased them. Im not happy with , and dont trust any purchases I make for this game.. The NKP S-2 Berkshire is underpowered and I can't get it to hold enough steam pressure to even go at more than about 20-30 mph without having to stop and let the pressure build again. And even though I have other rolling stock, TS won't let me couple up anything to it. So all I can do is just putt down the track for a short while then stop and rebuild steam pressure. It's a very frustrating locomotive. And possibly even worse since it is so distracting is that if you open the firebox to add coal while you are in the cab, the flames textures are apparently missing a frame so it flicker flames for a few frames then a red and white warning that it can find a texture, flickers flames for a couple of seconds and then the warning it can't find a texture. This locomotive looks great but is defective. It should not be on the market as DLC unless you want to pay just to look at it. I really can't recommend this one. Get the Challenger instead. It is nice looking and actually works.. Great Engine
